Matt has been a full time professional rider since 2005 where he rode for the Star Racing team. Moving to the MDK KTM Factory Lites team in 2008, he places 11th in the East coast championship. His biggest accomplishment in AMA Racing came in 2009 when he would move up to the 450 class and win the Southwick National that year, beating Chad Reed. In 2012, Matt was called upon to fill in for BTO Sports rider Michael Byrne, and made such an impression that he is now full time with the BTO Sports - KTM squad for 2013.
When he is not racing, riding, training, or traveling, he enjoys wakeboarding, jet skiing, and spending time with his friends. He has called Florida his home for years, but is a part-time Californian resident as well.
